Who? City of SF Veteran retiring after over 30 years of service as well as 50 of his coworkers, friends and mentors.
What? Retirement Party consisting of cocktail reception, speeches, entertainment.
Why? Bring select City employees together for an evening of low-key fun, food and good-byes.
Our job? Create, plan and execute the details of the event. Our job included: Program development, Site visits, Site selection, Contract negotiation, Vendor selection, Invitation Development, Attendee RSVP, Menu planning, Décor planning, Accounting and budget tracking, Liaison in between venue staff, vendors and sponsoring organization staff.
Result? The result was an eclectic evening of international foods, entertainment and a warm and memorable good-bye for a very deserving person.
Strategic Result? POLARIS was able to save venue, invitation, decor, and food and beverage costs by creatively staying in line with our clients wishes for a relatively simple, low-key event.
Memorable Moment: One last memo… As a fun way to say good-bye, instead of sending out formal invitations for the event, it was decided instead to send one final “memo” to staff and other department heads and officials. Polaris branded the event by creating an official (non-official) “seal of San Francisco” and along with the invitation details, successfully sent out the final memo!
