How did we come up with the name Polaris?
Polaris is the North Star and for centuries, it has guided people to their destination. As an African-American run company, the name was chosen for this symbolism and its significance to the African-American story as the star came to represent freedom and stability. It is a name chosen to signify our commitment and the strength of all those that came before us and those that will come after us.
